Earlier this year I was given the opportunity to create a large-scale mural celebrating the incredible wildlife of Glenmore, working alongside Saving Wildcats, Aviemore Glenmore Community Trust and Glenmore Visitor Centre.

The mural features Cale the Scottish Wildcat, surrounded by some of the incredible species that share her home, including Capercaillies, Beavers, Red Squirrels, Pine Hoverflies and Dark-Bordered Beauty Moths.

Spending several weeks painting in Glenmore was honestly pretty special. The location is incredible! It genuinely felt like painting inside a Bob Ross landscape, surrounded by forests, mountains and wildlife!

A huge thank you to Helena, Judy, Kirsty and everyone involved in this project for all your amazing support and hospitality throughout the project. It was also brilliant to meet the pupils from Kingussie High School and learn more about the amazing conservation work happening through Saving Wildcats.

I absolutely loved working on this project and I’m so happy to see Cale now welcoming visitors to Glenmore.
